Tables Cubed not only offers unique, affordable occasional tables with any choice of color, finish, size, and shape, but is also an environmentally-friendly option for green furniture. All Tables Cubed products are constructed using materials made from post consumer waste and post industrial waste. Even our own recycled cardboard boxes are recycled and repurposed into our products.

Post consumer recycled content is a strong environmental option because it diverts recyclable material from the waste stream. While post industrial (also known as pre- consumer) waste is still an eco-friendly option, it is simply the reuse of trimmings and scraps within the walls of a manufacturer. Post consumer recycling takes materials that are typically discarded by the end user. Instead of allowing it to enter landfills, it's reclaimed and recycled. LEED certification points are weighted more toward post consumer recycled materials for this reason. All of our round table cores are made from post consumer waste. We call this our "green core".

Add to the existing "green core" of Tables Cubed products by selecting an eco-friendly laminate. Many of the companies Tables Cubed works with are Greenguard^® certified, meaning they meet the third-party certification standards of the Greenguard^® Environmental Institute for indoor air standards of interior products. Greenguard^® certified companies include Wilsonart, Pionite, Nevamar, and Formica.

All Tables Cubed products are fabricated with particle board and adhesives which are Greenguard^® and are CARB II compliant. There is no added formaldehyde in the cores or finishes. The plastic laminates we use are greater than 20% post consumer waste.

Our new factory was designed with a number of features to make the factory as green as possible.

• Translucent side lights were added for natural light. This reduces the need for power to light the building and brings wholesome natural to the plant for our production workers.
• The plant is outfitted with high efficiency fluorescent light fixtures. This reduces the power to illuminate the plant dramatically.
• Factory lights are zoned controlled so only the areas where work is performed are lit as needed.
• Offices feature automatic lights shut off when movement is not detected.
• Offices are oriented so they receive natural light from a central foyer.
• Our manufacturing facility has been oriented to take advantage of the prevailing winds to aid in naturally cooling the plant during summer months.
